By the grace of Almighty God and the facilitative environment at the University, the University School of Mass Communication (USMC) bags the DNA-Stars of the Industry Innovative B-School Award second time in a row. Only the category this time is different: EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP AWARD 2015 for Industry Interface, Innovation, Development etc.
Notably, the last year USMC had shared the Award with the Faculty of Journalism & Mass Comm, MS University, Baroda; Faculty of Management, IIT-D; and, IIM-Rohtak.
The year 2014-15 has been particularly rewarding. Our Ph. D scholar Suresh Kumar got the prestigious Bhartendu Award for the second time ( first in 2004) for original writing in the field of journalism in Hindi; and, Dr. Durgesh Tripathi, Asst. Professor, USMC, got the much coveted full time ICSSR Fellowship for Post-doctoral research.
Let's join hands to congratulate Faculty, Staff and Students for their collective and individual achievements within 5 years of existence as a School.Thank you friends in the industry because it was just not possible without all that you have given to us so naturally and silently.
Thank you GGSIPU Community: Hon'ble VC, PVC, Deans, Registrar, Directors ,COF, COE and all others for bearing with our demands and ,at times, weird ways.
Prof. C P Singh, Dean
