Dr. Swamy Sacked from IIT to please Indira Nehru-Gandhi ?

Many are worried about what is being done to a great institutions such as  #IIT and the twist to  #PKdebate .
Just a few questions:

A.  Dr. Subramanian Swamy was sacked from IIT-Delhi for his liberal economic views in early 1970s . Before that his  appointment-invitation from Prof. Amartya Sen for Professor in Delhi School of Economics had been cancelled on the instructions of the then PM #IndiraGandhi for his liberal economic views. He had come to #Delhi having resigned as Associate Professor in the University of Harvard that consistently ranks in the top 5 universities of the world whereas none of the GREAT Indian Universities figures in the world's top 200 institutions. Also his Ph. D adviser at Harvard in mid 1960s was Nobel Laureate Simon Kuznets.
Q1. IS IT THE ATTRIBUTE OF A GREAT INSTITUTION LIKE IIT TO SACK A BRILLIANT PROFESSOR JUST BECAUSE HE HELD LIBERAL ECONOMIC VIEWS?
Q2. WERE HIS VIEWS AND BLUEPRINT NOT ACCEPTED BY THE SAME CONGRESS BEFORE EMBARKING UPON LIBERALIZATION IN 1991?

B. With invitation for DSE Professorship cancelled and marching orders from IIT-D for the BLUNDER of having realistic economic views as an academic, Dr. Swamy went back to Harvard to teach the most difficult of branches of Social Sciences: QUANTITATIVE METHODS. He did this till 2011 when the Indian Seculars waged a campaign against him for an article on inter-community relations.
It may be noted that Dr. Swamy was not associated with any political party before his sacking from IIT in about 1970.

Q3. THE QUESTION IS: CAN A PROFESSOR, WHO IS HOUNDED BY NONE OTHER THAN A POLITICIAN NO LESS THAN THE PRIME MINISTER, AFFORD TO REMAIN AWAY FROM POLITICS?
Q4. HOW CAN HE SAVE HIS LIFE  UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES?

We may recall the death of the then Railways Minister L N Mishra in a bomb blast in early 1970s under mysterious circumstances. The judgement on the case came only this years--2014!

It is not for nothing that the great mathematician Dr. Bashishtha Narayan Singh was driven to insanity when he came to ISI & IIT from #NASA .
And our great institutions continue to serve as graveyards of research and academics.
