33 KOTI Gods and Goddesses: What Do They Mean to Us?

These many Gods and Godesses ( 33 types or 33 crore, कोटि = करोड़, प्रकार) have ensured that unlike Semitic Faiths marked by Exclusivity,  we remain Inclusive and hence are fast evolving as a Democracy based on Sarva Panth Sambhav as opposed to the exclusive Secular-Communal or Proletariat-Bourgeoisie that look at the society in 0-1s /This orThat/ Us or They, etc which have thrust upon us Crusades, Distruction of Sacred Places in 1000s, two Sikh Gurus, two World Wars, Trifurcation of India,  and current Iraq-Syria crisis.
Not a regular to temples, but am proud of the variety and tolerance that they symbolise. Imagine what would have happened to the persecuted Jews and Parsis had we been happy with one Exclusive God along the lines of  Christianity and Islam?
We would have served as predecessors to Al Qaida, Taliban, ISIS, etc. And to cap it all, we would not be discussing all this so freely  and wouldn't have the democratic guts to come out in favor of a proven criminal such as  #YakubMemon and had the liberty of nearly ignoring publicly a colossal figure such as #AbdulKalam who could serve as an ICON to a future cosmopolitan Indian in general and to the future Muslim middle class in particular.
Thanks Kaushal Kishore ji for providing me this opportunity to give vent to my a-Western and a-Semetic perceptions.

Postscript:
Thanks for bearing with my a-Western and a-Semetic perceptions which, though definitely Indian, are alien to Indian Academics who adore anything or everything that is Western; so much so that even parallel and opposing thoughts   are dished out by the new invisible colonial  masters to whom remain beholden our very own Academic Pappus!
Political Pappu is a loner and has very limited damage potential but his academic equivalents are in millions.
Political Pappu can't dance...
But academic Pappus have surrendered their will to dance...
Decide who is killing the Indian Mind?
