To Don't-touchist Mass Communication Teachers...

Dear friends, I am reproducing what I had to say to a group that wanted posts strictly related to Communication/ Mass Communication/ Journalism:

Dear Communication-only friends, it is a humble submission that there is nothing pertaining to the humans that doesn't need communication-al perspective. More so in the case of erstwhile colonies which, including India, are yet to be intellectually decolonized and DE-IDEOLOGIZED. They continue to be overwhelmed by the discourse the paradigms of which are set in the Western institutions with Western interests in mind. For example, India's share in the global economy was 23.6 per cent when the Britishers took over from the Mughal remnants and it was just below 3 % when they left us in 1947. Apparently this is plain economics. But actually this is all about agenda setting in the academia and its study will be incomplete to the extent it ignores comm/mass comm.
We are born into the caste system and,  while opposing it socially, we appear to practice it in our daily personal/professional chores. I wish I were entirely wrong.
