Going BEYOND the SYLLABUS? Think Twice...

Q:
"The Indian elite continues to be very loud in its HOLLOW-NESS and near cipher on ORIGINAL RESPONSE to problems afflicting the country".
Critically examine in your own words and, as a matter of requirement, without quoting from any book.
A:

*
I can go to the extent of saying that the question doesn't fall in any of the disciplines for which they were meant: Sociology or Political Science.
**************************************************
NB:
The second paragraph of the answer was accepted as a representative complaint by an aggrieved student to the Competent Authority, Controller of Examinations, XYZ University, Delhi, and the examination for the paper was cancelled.
*
As a preventive measure, the Question Setter was barred for five years from setting questions at the Masters Level.
*
Today he is on the Governing Body of a world class university and entrusted with overseeing the establishment of its Strategic Knowledge Center.
