About Crime, Caste and Religion...

Assuming one incident of crime a day for a population of 20 thousand, what could be the total number of crimes every day in India ?
About 62500 !
*
This means, in all probability, people belonging to each caste and religion will figure in both the categories: those who commit crimes and those who are victims of these crimes.
*
So what is the real challenge? Naming the caste of victims if they happen to be Dalits and Muslims only?
Or looking at the share of each Caste and Religion or Dharma in the total number of crimes over a period of time, say 100 years (to establish any credible relationship between caste/religion/faith on the one hand and the crime on the other) ?
*
In the latter case, it is possible to identify and contrast the past and the present  trends in crimes;  and, so also predict the future trends and accordingly take appropriate preventive measures.
*
If the caste of victim has to be mentioned in case of he/she being a Dalit or a Muslim only, there would hardly be a day when a dalit or a Muslim is not a victim of one or the other crime. The same applies to all castes, religions or faiths because the total number of crimes committed every day is very large in a country with a huge population, 125 crore(1250 million).
*
In view of this, will it not be appropriate to disclose the caste of the alleged perpetrator of a crime as well as of the victim irrespective of the latter is Dalit/Muslim or not?
