Who all represent today WE THE PEOPLE of our Constitution?

27.12.17
Who all represent today " WE THE PEOPLE" of our Constitution? Is our Constitution as rigid as Shari'a ?
.
Some people say that the lawmakers of today can't change the constitution, especially its basic structure.
Now the question is:
●Who constituted "...We the people of India..." who said that we "...give to ourselves..." the constitution of India?
This question raises further questions:
●How were those people elected or selected?
●Are the lawmakers of today any less representative of their people/constituencies?
●If yes, how and why?
●Or, was it a one time affair, i.e., only the Constituent Assembly had this power of representing the people of India and with them disappeared this power as well ?
●If yes, what was the source of this power?
Why so many amendments?
●Haven't some of these amendments already struck at the basic fabric of Indian society and polity?
●What is the basic structure of the constitution and is it independent of time and space?
●Is the basic structure independent of the change in the structure of the demography it serves?
● If yes, is the 'Constitution for the People' or are the 'People for the Constitution'?
●Finally, if the BASIC STRUCTURE is unalterable, how is the constitution different from Qur'an or Shari'a?
