Award-returning authors are the Indian equivalents of Balzac!

#Award_returning_authors are the #Indian equivalents of #Balzac!

Balzac is said to be a great writer despite himself. He was nearly infatuated with #FrenchRoyalty and his description of the collapsing royalty is so vivid and passionate that as a reader you start loving Balzac despite his
#anti_democratic position as a novelist. May be these Award-returning authors are Indian equivalents of Balzac!
*******************************************
May be their infatuation with the #NehruGandhiDynasty's #Congress is something they can't transcend and want to express their gratitude to  them by returning the awards during the tenure of the #BJP-led NDA government which appears to have heralded the end of the dynasty.
It needs to be appreciated that by doing so they are morally owning the responsibility of all the misdeeds of the govts under the Dynasty:
#Delhi_Riots
#Bhagalpur_Riots
#Mumbai_Riots
#Bhopal_Gas_Tragedy
#Nillie_Massacre
Ethnic_Cleansing_of_Kashmiri_Hindus
et al.
All this had happened with the blessings of the Dynasty and that is why these authors didn't raise their voice against the aforementioned  crimes against the humanity.
Instead they lobbied for the awards they got during the heydays of the Dynasty and,  with the Dynasty counting its days, they are returning the very awards to the govt they don't like.

It is simple, they are not ready to extend the blanket of the. ' moral responsibility' to the stray acts of violence committed under the new regime.
May be they are used to providIng moral cover to the violence involving thousands of deaths where as the ones during the new regime don't cross even double digits.
Who knows, in a caste-ridden and hiearchy-driven society,  the numbers (of deaths) are equivalents of their (authors') status symbol!
