Less of TV-newspapers is more of India!

Your understanding of India is inversely proportional to your exposure to TV and newspapers in particular and university education in general.
It took me nearly four decades to realize it though I was lucky to hear a similar expression from an elderly lady of my village in her inimitable style in early 1970s:  "जे जेतना पढ़ुआ उ ओतना भड़ुआ" (The more educated you are the less credible you are).
The other related realization is that a typical professor does all his best to graduate to the level of a 'clerk' who tends to be invariably less aliterate than the former.
To verify this, you just have to be bold enough to compare and contrast the nature of informal communication amongst these two professional groups in a typical govt university in the country.
Don't be surprised if you find a typical professor no more than a HUMAN PENDRIVE at his best. Best of luck!
