Modi & Kejriwal:Two Sides of the Same Coin

Thanks to our Education System, a blind and dated photocopy of the West, Secularism has become a tool in the hands of the highly aliterate to demean anything or everything good about India in general and Hindus in particular. This is less about cohesion and more about division to keep afloat political dynasties such as NEHRU-Gandhi and Lalu-Mulayam.
But with 100 crore mobile connections, mostly in the hands of the youth, and 30-crore strong middle class, the situation is in for change.
In fact, the change has started with a bang. #Modi and #Kejriwal are examples. Journos and political pundits may label them as inherently opposites, but they are products of the same forces of Technology, Strong Middle Class and Disbelief in outdated and divisive Slogans (of Secular-Communal).

बिहार में बाँटने के लिए धन बचेगा या गरीबी?

बिहार में 5 बिगहे से ज्यादा जमीन कितने लोगों के पास है और कुल कितनी है यानी कुल जमीन का कितना प्रतिशत है?

इसके बाद सोवियत संघ, लाल चीन और बंगाल का अनुभव जोड़कर एक और सवाल पूछा जा सकता है:
मनुष्य के आर्थिक व्यवहार के मद्देनजर हमारे पास बाँटने के लिए धन बचेगा या गरीबी?

आर्थिक मसलों पर वामपंथी दृष्टि पूरी दुनिया में फेल हो चुकी है । तभी तो चीन ने बाजार व्यवस्था को अपना पूरी दुनिया के सामने चुनौती पेश कर दी है।भारत के सामने इससे बड़ी मिसाल और क्या होगी? पर चीन एक अवसर भी है और चुनौती भी।

जाति को ही जाति के खिलाफ इस्तेमाल करने की लोहियाई रणनीति बिहार में अबतक तो सफल ही कही जाएगी। पर वर्तमान आर्थिक हालात नई तकनीकी की माँग करते नजर आते हैं। हालिया लोकसभा और दिल्ली समेत अन्य राज्यों के चुनाव तो यही इशारा करते लगते हैं ।

कुछ  लोग इस पर इतिहास के ज्ञान की आवश्यकता और ईमानदारी का सवाल उठा सकते हैं।

क्या इतिहास की एकमात्र वैज्ञानिक दृष्टि और ईमानदारी का समय निरपेक्ष कोई पैमाना है जो किसी 'अ' ने 'ब' को उद्धृत करते हुए 'स' को साक्षी  रख  'ड' को समर्पित कर दिया हो जो 'अ' के स्वर्ग सिधारने के 40 साल बाद डिक्लासिफाइ किया जाएगा?

काॅ. पानसरे का निधन, भारतीय बुद्धिजीवी और आक्टोवियो पाज़

जानेमाने वामपंथी नेता पर  16 फरवरी को कोल्हापुर में हमला होना और 20 फरवरी को अंततः उनका मर जाना बहुत ही दुखद और चिंताजनक है।सत्ता किसी की हो, गरीब-गुरबों की आवाज बनने वाले कम ही लोग होते हैं और ऐसे लोगों के साथ खड़े होनेवाले तो बहुत ही कम ।

ऐसे   ही करीब 30 साल पहले दिल्ली से सटे साहिबाबाद में एक नुक्कड़ नाटक के मंचन के दौरान का. सफदर हाशमी की (  सर को ईंटों से कूच-कूचकर) बड़ी बेरहमी से  हत्या की गई थी क्योंकि कांग्रेस शासित दिल्ली में हुए सिख दंगों का उन्होंने सर्जनात्मक  विरोध किया था जिससे दिल्ली के  तत्कालीन कांग्रेस नेता खासकर एच के एल भगत काफी नाराज थे।

खैर, बाद में तरक्कीपसंद तबका दिल्ली के सिख विरोधी और भागलपुर के मुसलमान-विरोधी दंगों को सेकुलर मानने लग गया ( क्योंकि यह सब कांग्रेसी शासन के दौरान हुए थे) और गुजरात दंगों को कम्युनल । इस चक्कर में मृतकों का भी बँटवारा हो गया और राज्य सत्ता के आतंक के सामने एक सामान्य भारतीय फिर निरुपाय, बेबस और लाचार साबित हुआ । इस संबंध में आक्टेविओ पाज़ की बात कितनी सटीक और भविष्यवाणी जैसी लगती है ।
1960 के दशक में, जब वे भारत में मैक्सिको के राजदूत थे, उन्होंने
कहा था कि भारत के बुद्धिजीवी  वर्ग जैसा नक्काल, दोहरे चरित्र का और जमीन से कटा हुआ दुनिया में कहीं का बुद्धिजीवी नहीं है।

Santa:  But AAP trounced BJP in the last Delhi polls on the secular plank.
Banta: Didn't AAP gobble up the secular parties such as Congress and BSP too?
Santa: I am confused.
Banta:Not your fault. Secularism was meant to confuse and mislead us into paying Jazia (votes) to
           parties using fear-politics as a weapon.

Educational Leadership Award- 2015 to Mass Comm School, IP University, Delhi

By the grace of Almighty God and the facilitative environment at the University, the University School of Mass Communication (USMC) bags the DNA-Stars of the Industry Innovative B-School Award second time in a row. Only the category this time is different:  EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP AWARD 2015 for Industry Interface, Innovation, Development etc.

Notably, the last year USMC had shared the Award with the Faculty of Journalism & Mass Comm, MS University, Baroda; Faculty of Management, IIT-D; and, IIM-Rohtak.

The year 2014-15 has been particularly rewarding. Our Ph. D scholar Suresh Kumar got the prestigious Bhartendu Award for the second time ( first in 2004) for original writing in the field of journalism in Hindi; and, Dr. Durgesh Tripathi, Asst. Professor, USMC, got the much coveted full time ICSSR Fellowship for Post-doctoral research.
