विश्वविद्यालय के ज्यादातर शिक्षक 'दल्लागिरी' करते हैं

किसी भी धंधे में गड़बड़ी के लिए फैशन सा हो गया है दलालों के सर दोष मढ़ दो और छुट्टी पाओ।पर सवाल उठता है कि ये दलाल किस देश के हैं? पाकिस्तान, अमेरिका या हिन्दुस्तान?

हमलोगों में से कितने हैं जिन्होंने अपने को जाने-अनजाने इस कर्म से बचाने में सफलता पाई है?

पिछले 13 सालों से मैं शिक्षक हूँ और मुझे शिक्षण पेशे से जुड़े ज्यादातर लोग दलालों के भी दलाल लगे हैं क्योंकि वे देश के भविष्य के साथ दलाली (खिलवाड़) कर रहे हैं।
दिल्ली विवि के कुलपति को इसलिए जमींदोज़ कर दिया गया कि उन्होंने विवि शिक्षा को सामाजिक जरूरतों के हिसाब से ढालने की हिम्मत की।जब सरकार साथ थी तो मीडिया और यूजीसी दोनों ने पीठ थपथपाई पर सरकार के बदलते ही मीडिया और यूजीसी दोनों उस बदलाव के विरोधी हो गए ।

और शिक्षक तो किसी भी सकारात्मक बदलाव के सनातन खिलाफ रहते ही हैं।क्या यह दलाली नहीं है अगर दलाली का मतलब दूसरे का हक मारना है या देश के साथ धोखाधड़ी है?

टीवी पर मुस्लिम कठमुल्ले ही दिखते, क्यों?

टीवी पर अपना पक्ष रखने के लिए हिन्दू-सिख-ईसाई-जैन-बौद्धों में से विशेषज्ञ बुलाये जाते हैं जबकि मुसलमानों में से सिर्फ कठमुल्ले, क्यों?
अब्दुल कलाम या आरिफ मोहम्मद खान या रसखान या रहीम या कबीर या दारा शिकोह जैसे लोग मुसलमानों के आइकाॅन क्यों नहीं हैं?

हिन्दुओं में आदित्यनाथ भी हैं लेकिन मुसलमानों का प्रतिनिधित्व ओवैसी-आजम ही करते देखे जाते हैं और ऐसा इसलिए कि आरिफ मोहम्मद खान जैसों को अपने समाज में पूछ नहीं है क्योंकि वे कठमुल्लापन से दूर हैं।अगर कल वे भी समान नागरिक संहिता के खिलाफ उतर जाएँ औरंगजेब के गुणगान करने लगें तो उन्हें कोई भी पार्टी सर-आँखों पर बिठाकर रखेगी।
विश्वास न हो तो किसी भी उर्दू अखबार के मुख्य पृष्ठ के एक हफ्ते की सुर्खियों पर नजर डाल लीजिए,  आपको मुस्लिम समाज की सोच और  नेतृत्व की हालत का पता चल जाएगा ।
मतलब यह कि मीडिया को दोष देने के पहले अपने अंदर भी झाँकना जरूरी है।
कोई भी राजनीतिक दल थाली में परोसकर आपके अधिकार नहीं देना चाहेगा, मुसलमानों को कठमुल्लों की जगह अपने मध्यवर्ग को आगे लाना होगा और बोद्धिक विमर्श को  कठमुल्लों को आउटसोर्स करने से बचना होगा नहीं तो यह अवसर दोबारा आसानी से हाथ नहीं आनेवाला।
जैसे औरंगजेब को हिन्दू जज़िया देते थे वैसे ही आज का मुसलमान हिन्दू बहुल सेकुलर पार्टियों को वोट रूपी जज़िया देकर सुरक्षित और गर्व महसूस करता है जो घोर अराष्ट्रीय होने के साथ-साथ संविधान पर तमाचा है क्योंकि सुरक्षा और कानून-व्यवस्था एक रूटीन जिम्मेदारी है जिससे कोई भी सरकार बच नहीं सकती।
इस तरह से सच्चाई बयान करनेवाले को असहिष्णु का तमगा भी आसानी से मिल जाता है क्योंकि भारतीय संदर्भ में सहिष्णुता का मतलब है दोहरा व्यवहार-- किसी मुसलमान दंपति को हम अपना मकान किराए पर नहीं देना चाहते लेकिन यह भी नहीं कहना चाहते कि हम आपको इसलिए मकान नहीं देना चाहते कि हमें आपपर विश्वास नहीं है।फ़ैज़ साहब ने लिखा था:
हम तो रहे अजनबी कितनी मुलाक़ातों के बाद।

अगर सोशल मीडिया और मोबाइल के दौर में भी यह दोहरापन और अजनबीपन दूर नहीं हुआ तो बहुत चिन्ता की बात है जिसके लिए मीडिया को दोष देना वैसे ही है जैसे किसी प्रिय व्यक्ति की मौत का टेलीग्राम देनेवाले डाकिया को ही उस मौत का जिम्मेदार मान लिया जाए ।

सोशल मीडिया , हिन्दू मन और इस्लामी कट्टरता

इंटरनेट की जमीन पर खड़े सोशल मीडिया के मंच यथा  फेसबुक और ब्लाॅग का स्वभाव लोकतांत्रिक है और इस कारण वे हिन्दू मन को अभिव्यक्त करने में सक्षम हैं।
हिन्दू मन का मतलब विविधता, सर्वपंथ समभाव और समावेशिता है जो भारतीय मन भी है।
इसमें किसी को संदेह हो तो उसे पाकिस्तान, बाँग्लादेश और भारत के ही मुस्लिम बहुल कश्मीर में हिन्दुओं के हाल पर गौर कर लेना चाहिए।
मतलब यह कि हिन्दुओं ने सबको अपने साथ रखा लेकिन जहाँ भी वे अल्पसंख्यक हुए कि वहाँ गैर-हिन्दू बहुमत यानी मुसलमानों ने अपनी आसमानी किताब के अनुसार उनका जीवन नारकीय बना दिया।
दूसरी बात,  उनकी आस्था और अस्तित्व को उन्हीं से खतरा पैदा हुआ जो कल तक हिन्दू थे। तो सवाल उठता है कि समस्या मुसलमान हैं, जिनके पूर्वज कल तक हिन्दू थे, या वह मजहब जिसने उन्हें ऐसा बना दिया कि वे गैरमुसलमानों के साथ शांति से रह ही नहीं सकते।

सोशल मीडिया के प्रति 'असहिष्णु' हैं टीवी-अखबार

असहिष्णुता का विवाद मूलतः टीवी-अखबार मार्का एकतरफा संवाद के गामा पहलवानों का लोकतांत्रिक सोशल मीडिया के करोड़ों नागरिकों के सामने बौना पड़ जाने से पैदा हुआ है। कुछ और हो तो बताइए।

चमत्कार का बलात्कार': लोकसभा में काँग्रेस

काँग्रेसी नेता चापलूसी छोड़ कुछ समझ नहीं पाते।इसीलिए उनके साथ 3 इडियट्स वाला 'चमत्कार का बलात्कार' होता रहता है।

इसलिए हे लोकसभा अध्यक्षा, उन्हें माफ कर दीजिए। अय्यर और खुर्शीद ने पाकिस्तान में क्या किया? इसके डीएनए में ही खोट (ए ओ ह्यूम) है तभी तो आजादी के बाद गाँधी जी इसे भंग कर देना चाहते थे और नेताजी को फारवर्ड ब्लॉक बनाना पड़ा था।अपने विदेशी मूल की तरफ काँग्रेसी वैसे ही लौटते हैं "जैसे उड़ी जहाज को पंछी फिरी जहाज पै आवै"।

An open letter to Aamir Khan from a Kafir

Dear Aamir Khan
Greetings! Hope you are in the best of your health and the 'Intolerance Biz' has done its bit to keep your spirits up.
Here I beg your attention to a few shouting facts about the ' Intolerant India':
1. For the last 25 years or so, the three Super Stars of Bollywood are #SalmanKhan , #ShahrukhKhan and your goodself. No three Hindu Super Stars ever simultaneously occupied the Mind Space of Hindu-dominated Hindustan for such a long period.

I am told the lead actor -- #BenKingsley--of Richard Attenboroug's Gandhi film was originally Krishna Pandit Bhanji and his being Ben Kingsley in the film was considered a prerequisite for the film's acceptance by the largely SECULAR western audiences! In Bollywood, many actors and actresses including. Dilip Kumar(Muslim),
Sanjeev Kumar (Hindu), Meena Kumari (Muslim) had their screen names more popular than original names. All this for the sake of getting names that were easy-to-pronunciate not to hide their faith.
Are these idolating #Hindus or Disbelievers (as per Qur'an) idiots?

2. I am a citizen of a country where Hindus constitute majority, almost 80 percent. Yet they didn't vote to power the Right Wing Hindu Party(as they call it) JANSANGH  till it merged with all the splinter groups of major political parties that came together to form JANATA PARTY in 1977.
One more reason for Hindus to qualify as idiots?

3. In post-independent India, members of minority #Muslim and #Christian communities have risen to positions of power including President, ChiefMinister, FieldMarshal, Air Chief marshal, etc. And, durng worst of communally tense situations, never ever minorities were forced to leave their homes for good except that in #Kashmir where Hindus constituted a real minority. The Muslim-majority Kashmir Valley turned into indulgent mute spectators to the #EthnicCleansing and Exodus of their Hindu neighbours. To camouflage this they are not termed as Hindus but #KashmiriPundits!

There was no agitation over this in the Hindu-majority India because the successive governments and the media put the blame on the victims themselves for the Muslim vote banks the country over. And, the rest of 'Hindu' India bought this theory so easily.
Yet another point for Hindus to qualify as idiots?

4. In the same state of J&K, in the December 2014 elections to the Assembly, #BJP got the highest vote share and emerged as the second largest party with no single party in majority. But all the seats it won fall in the Hindu-dominated #Jammu region where Muslims do constitute a significant minority. Its efforts at forming government were slammed as #COMMUNAL on the ground that it didn't win a single seat from now -nearly-only-Muslim valley (from where Hindus were thrown out in 1989-90) and government led by BJP would mean an assault on #SECULAR Kashmir and its  Kashmiriat , that is, the culture of living in harmony with people of different faiths!
Doesn't Kashmiriat mean LIVING IN HARMONY WITH MUSLIMS ONLY in today's Kashmir?

4. But this time things appear to be different. Many have come forward to trash this idea of. Communal-Jammu & Secular-Kashmir. In fact in 30 years people have voted to power a party (BJP) with full majority at the Centre. The story has been repeated in many states.

Do Hindus not qualify as idiots now?

5. I am a bit confused: the three Khans still ruling the roost in Bollywood; no signs yet of Kashmiri Pundits(KPs) getting back to the Valley; 'communal' BJP partnered with 'secular' #PDP to form the govt in J& K; and, the Congress playing its worst ever Desh Raag that is music to the Secular(read India Breaking) ears.

6. If I were a Khan, I would still have lived as much safely and honorably as ever with my common sense buttons on. But as a Khan I would have always batted for
#ArifMohammadKhan who was dwarfed by. Rajiv Gandhi for having opposed the latter succumbing to the fundamentalist Muslims's pressure to annul the Supreme Court judgement in the #ShahBano case in which a more-than-60-year old lady was awarded immediate and adequate maintenance. Rajiv Gandhi used his brute majority in the Parliament to get the judgement nullified and left the old lady to fend for herself on whatever came her way as per Sharia norms!

7. If I were a Khan, I would have also batted for Shahid Siddiqui, a veteran journalist, for having spoken his mind with utmost boldness. In a TOI article last year, he had argued that in Hindu majority India, Muslims were coerced to pay #Jazia (votes) through Fear Politics of Vote Bank in the name of Secularism! So true.

8. I would also bat for former Congress MP, veteran journalist and now BJP spokesman
M J Akbar for having spoken his mind fearlessly more than a decade back, most likely in a write-up in the Sunday TOI. To the best of my memory, he had said that the practice of flawed secularism had made the majority Hindus perceive themselves as a minority which might have dangerous implications for future.
9. And last but not the least, I would pray to God to bless us with independent minds like
Tufail Ahmad for having done the anatomy of the Indian variety of Secularism that has actually been used to shield the most corrupt , communal, anti-Indian and Islamist over the last seven decades.

10. But I would have felt humiliated and dejected as a Khan if , as in post-9/11 US, every Muslim was considered a terrorist. No body, including the great Shahrukh Khan, now feels bad when strip-searched on arrival at US airports for just being a Muslim.

11. But I would continue to feel bad for the simple reason that the US is such an infant as a culture (less than 500 years old) and doesn't have that long an experience of dealing with diversity as India has: more than 33 Koti Devas, six systems of thought, three major faiths born here and Christianity descending on its western shores much before it travelled to Europe and, to cap it all, she became a second home to Jews and Parsis who fled their homelands to escape conversion or death.

12. As a Khan, Mr. Aamir Khan, I would have also felt ashamed of having only few amongst us to match the likes of Arif Mohammad Khan, Shahid Siddiqui,  MJ Akbar and Tufail Ahmad. Does it really take so much of courage to call a spade a spade? I would be ashamed of remaining silent on the hounding of Salman #Rushdie and #TaslimaNusreen. But I would have had shivers through my spine on even the possibility of Hindus copying what the most of Muslims have done to themselves and to the country right from 1947: sacrifice Health, Education and the Capacity to Question Everything in the name of #IslamInDanger.

13. If India is a thriving #democracy, contrast it with #Pakistan and #Bangladesh, it is mainly because of innately accommodating majority Hindus, not because of Muslims who chose to rise against the most humane judgement of Supreme Court in the #ShahBano case.
14. As a Khan, I would have hung my head in shame to see that every now and then a #Dharmendra officially converted to #Islam to marry his Lady Love (#HemaMalini) without appropriately getting divorce from his first wife(Parkash). How many even #Islamic countries have this anti-woman Law ?

15. And, Mr. Aamir Khan, I would never ever like to be a #Khan if it meant compromising with basic principles of #Equality, #Fraternity and #Compassion in the name of #Faith.

दोस्तों, किसी की भी डिग्री पर जाना भारतीय संस्कृति की शिक्षात्मक और सभ्यतागत क्षमताओं की अवमानना है, चाहे बहस डिग्री होने की हो या न होने की हो।
मैकाले शिक्षा पद्धति में पारंगत लोगों में ज्यादातर मानसिक गुलामी के शिकार हैं , इसलिए गाँवों में कहावत है:
जे जेतना पढ़ुआ उ ओतना भढ़ुआ!

भगवान का लाख-लाख शुक्र है कि बहुत सारे लोग यहाँ यूनिवर्सिटी -कालेज नहीं गए,  नहीं तो 'अनपढ़' और कम पढ़े-लिखे लोगों की मानसिक स्वतंत्रता और मौलिक खोजों से देश वंचित रह जाता।
डा मनमोहन सिंह एक साल में (2009-10) में 49 बार विदेश गए, ज्यादा खर्चा किया और विकसित देशों के राग अलापे फिर भी '#जंगल_में_मोर_नाचा_किसने_देखा'?
मोदी ने #आॅक्सफोर्ड से पढ़े डा मनमोहनसिंह से सिर्फ 6-7 ज्यादा यात्राएँ कीं और मोदी-विरोधी कहते कि वे विदेश में ही रहते हैं बिना यह बताये कि उनकी यात्राओं में शनिवार-रविवार भी शामिल है ।

तो भइया, आॅल इज वेल।दिमाग खुला हो तो जो कभी स्कूल न जाए वह भी कमाल कर दे नहीं तो 'अंधेर नगरी चौपट राजा, टके सेर भाजी टके सेर खाजा'।

Muslims are part of my DNA yet I am anti-Islamic!

There are any number of people including some longtime friends labeling yours truly as Islamophobic, anti-Islam,  anti-Muslim or communal.

There's is no reason to be anti-Muslim because Muslims are part of our DNA, culturally as well as biologically. In fact, those with intellectual guts among our Muslim brethren in South Asia will have no option to reciprocating the same about us.
On a personal note, I owe my early educational and social grooming to one of my most respected seniors Mr Asgar Ali and a few family friends ( Parvez Izhar Rashid Izhar Tabrez Ahmad) for which I have no words. The list could be disproportionately long, that is more than their share in the populations wherever they became part of my life.
Thus neither historically nor experientially I have enough reasons to even play anti-Muslim in the wildest of my dreams.

Now about being Islamophobic. I wish I were so but for my rural-agricultural background that has taught me to stand like a rock in matters of Faith without disrespecting others if the latter do the same.
However I take pride in taking positions that are doubtlessly anti-Islamic on many issues because of the anti-otherness of Islam right from its birth so much so that this anti-otherness doesn't spare even the non-mainatream Muslims ( Khoja, Shia, Baloch, etc.).

Finally, about the sweet-sour and simple-stupid communal.
Since in India there is practically  a complete exchange of meaning between Secular and Communal in the academic sense of the term, here I end up self-congratulating for being communal.

However, I must add, as a Hindu and an Indian I find the terms-- Secular and Communal -- sides of the same Biblical-European coin with little relevance to India where the Dharmic attributes bind us with a feeling of mutual respect as opposed to Secularly Tolerating something that you hate and hence would otherwise even like to decimate as testified by the fatricidal wars between Catholics and Protestants necessitating the Toleration Act of 1648 (?).
In view of the above, one may risk saying that in the long-run Islam is anti-Muslim and,  as someone sharing his DNA with the Muslims of the Indian sub-continent, it is my Dharma to go anti-Islamic for a better and certain future of Muslims in particular and the humanity in general.

Pakistan = Islam +Urdu +Hatred against India .

Santa: They say Pakistan = Islam + Urdu +Hatred against India .
Banta:  Yes, a heady cocktail of Islam from Arab, Urdu from India  but Hatred from Within.

Islam has got a few warrior-intellectuals too

Islam has luckily got a few warrior-intellectuals such as Hasan Nissar(Pakistan), Tarek Fatah (Pakistani-Canadian), Taslima Nasreen (Bangladesh), Tufail Ahamad and Arif Mohammad Khan(India).
May these daring thinkers herald nothing short of renaissance in Islam and save its adherents from fighting fatricidal wars threatening their mutually-assured destruction.

Is Islam Ready For Its Genetic Reengineering?

Islam without terror is akin to a body without soul. In this sense, Islam is the problem, not Muslims as such in their individual capacities. As individuals they may be as good or as bad as those of other Faiths.
But if those claiming from the roof tops that  Islam is the religion of peace are to be believed, it has to be understood like this only: for them it will be,  not was or has been, a religion of peace irrespective of any part of any of the fundamental BOOKS (Qur'an, Hadiths, Sharia) supporting violence against the innocent.

From the above, it follows that nothing short of Genetic Reengineering of Islam is required at the moment.
Also, the arguement that Paris Attacks are in retaliation to the American invasion of Iraq on concocted grounds doesn't hold water when juxtaposed with the violence in Karbala when the US of today was not even born!
It may be worthwhile having a look at the violence-supporting verses from the Holy Book Qur'an et al appended herewith.

अलविदा अशोक सिंघल: सेकुलर झूठ के सच को बेनकाब करनेवाला योद्धा

जब #सोशल_मीडिया नहीं था तब करोड़ों ' #असहिष्णु  ' #बेजुबान और #आहत_हिन्दुओं के #मन_की_बात कहनेवाले श्री #अशोक_सिंघल को भावभीनी #श्रद्धांजलि।
#सामाजिक_समरसता_के_हीरो रहे हैं वे लेकिन यह समझने के लिए #अख़लाक़_सिंड्राॅम से बाहर आकर #टेक्नोलाॅजी, #मनोविज्ञान और #इतिहास तीनों के #संगम पर हिम्मत के साथ #मानसिक_गुलामी का परित्याग कर खड़ा होना होगा।

जो लोग #सेकुलर_मार्का प्रेम-सद्भाव की बात करते हैं वे #मैग्गी_फटाफट_राजनीति करते हुए समस्याओं के
#सुषुप्त_ज्वालामुखी से #शुतुरमुर्ग की तरह नजर चुराते हैं।असली संबंध तो आपसी विश्वास से बनता है जो #सच,  भले ही वह #अप्रिय हो, को दोटूक सामने रखकर ही बनता है।इसे छिपाने से #मन_में_दंगे पहले होते हैं और #जमीन_पर_दंगे बाद में ।
श्री #अशोक_सिंघल ने #बहुमत_हिन्दुओं के मन में चल रहे इसी #दंगे_को_वाणी देकर उसकी विनाश क्षमता को बहुत कमजोर कर दिया।यही #योगदान है उनका।

पिछले दिनों #असहिष्णुता पर जिस तरह का देश-विदेश में #तमाशा खड़ा किया गया अब उसकी पोल खुल रही है, उसके देसी-विदेशी तार उघड़ रहे है और #बिहार_चुनाव तथा #पेरिस_हमले के बाद सहिष्णुता की सुपारी लेने वाले गिरोह को जैसे साँप सूँघ गया है।असली असहिष्णुता ने नकली असहिष्णुता की वाट लगा दी।
आखिर पिछले 70 सालों में तथाकथित सहिष्णुता के पुरोधाओं ने ही सर्वाधिक दंगे कराये हैं।फिर तथाकथित असहिष्णुता के पैरोकारों की समझ और रणनीति पर क्यों न समाज विचार करे? क्योंकि हमें एक समाज और देश के रूप में बने रहने के लिए सत्य और तथ्य से बड़ा कोई साथी नहीं हो सकता।हम सेकुलरिज़म के जन्म से हजारों साल पहले से ही #समरस_समाज बनाने में टेका रहे हैं , इसलिए झूठे सच की हमें जरूरत नहीं है ।
इस अर्थ में सिंघल जी इस #झूठे_सच को बेनकाब करने वाले शीर्ष योद्धाओं में एक थे।यह काम उन्होंने #राममंदिर आंदोलन चलाकर किया।

भारत में हजारों मंदिर तोड़े गए हैं और आज के जमाने में टेक्नोलॉजी की मदद से उनके बारे में जानकारी हासिल करना किसी के लिए भी संभव हो गया है।ऐसे में साम्प्रदायिक सद्भाव का घटना स्वाभाविक है।

Sanatan(सनातन): Why can't it change?

Nothing is permanent, not even what is viewed as SANATAN ( सनातन) by and of #Hindus.  Everything that we do is a function of the what(#content) and  how(#technology: today's #mobile, #Internet, #SocialMedia) of #communication that has drastically changed during the last few years. So far so good. But what is the guarantee that #Hindus will not #Talibanize come what may?

Hindus are changing,  thanks to mobile, Net and social media. It is for #Muslims not to let that  change become #reactionary.
Hindus may Talibanize if the Muslims in #India fail to respect the truly middle class leaders amongst them.

इधर अक्ल के अजीर्ण के शिकार अनेक #बुद्धिजीवी इस चुनावी जीत को सेकुलरवाद की जीत बताने में लग गए हैं।सवाल है अगर इस #महागठबंधन की जीत को सेकुलरवाद की जीत कहा जाएगा तो #हत्या, #बलात्कार, #अपहरण और #फिरौती को #पुण्य के रूप में न सिर्फ स्वीकारा जाएगा बल्कि बढ़ावा दिया जाएगा।

#संयुक्त_राष्ट्र में उठाने की जहमत नहीं उठाएँगे और देश का झगड़ा देश में ही नरेंद्र #मोदी_से_ इस्तीफा माँगकर निबटा लिया जाएगा।

और इसमें उन्हें ने #काँग्रेसी_शाही_घराने की खूब मदद मिली है जिस कारण वे #नेहरू_गाँधी और #मुलायम के नक्शे-कदम अपने बेटी-बेटों को #राजनीति_में_सेंट करने में सफल हुए हैं।

Modi is himself a victim of Secular Intolerance

Just try recalling which public figure has been the victim of #Intolerance the most?
The obvious answer is:
Narendra #Modi.

Who did this?
None other than the Secular-Liberal-Left gang that today is sponsoring the #AwardWapsiGang .
How did they do it?
Modi was singled out to be portrayed as a demon hungry for #Muslim blood. They lobbied against him beyond the national borders and succeeded in getting his #USAVisa denied.

Such a success at what cost?
At the cost of #fairness, #objectivity and national #prestige.

Reason: He as Chief Minister was responsible the killing of innocent people (mostly Muslims) in the aftermath of #Godhara carnage in which more than 50 Hindus were burnt to death by a group of Muslims.

No killing,  even of an individual, can be justified on any count. But did the Secular Tribe apply the same standards to the #Riots in #Delhi or #Bhagalpur during #Congress regime?

Or were the numbers involved in #Gujarat very high?
On this count too Gujarat was a distant cousin.

Then why this special attention to Riots in Gujarat under Modi?

Just because he meant business and showed the prowess to pose a serious political challenge to the rule of #NehruGandhiDynasty that has raised a huge bogey of #DarbariAuthors and Artistes through a vast network of patronage built over decades.

Now to the incidents cited as example of Intolerance:
Killing of an alleged calf-thief,  a Muslim, by a Hindu mob in the State of UP under Secular Samajwadi Party;
Killing of Kalburgee, a rabidly anti-Hindu author in the Congress-ruled Karnataka; and,
Killing of a local Communist leader Panasare in the BJP-ruled Maharashtra.

Why should a PM be made the single point of attack for the killings that clearly are a State subject?

Here the idea was to stop the young Muslim voters likely to be influenced by Modi's development agenda during #BiharAssemblyElections on the one hand while weakening his position in his own party on the other.

Nowonder the #Secular rigade timed the #FTII Students' strike and the #AwardWapsiDrama to coincide with the Bihar elections and left no stones unturned to brand Modi as a #Fascist leader.

But the simple stupid question is:
Does one enjoy this level of
#FreedomOfExpression,  defying all norms of fairness and objectivity, under a Fascist regime?

#Intolerance: What, Why and Whose?

#Pakistan was created because the #Muslim #elite  feared that in the Independent democratic India,  the #Hindu #majority might #avenge the rape, murder & humiliation heaped on them for centuries by #MuslimRulers.
Post-partition this fear found a symbiotic connection with the psyche of the Muslims of #Bihar, #UP and #WB most of whom were all for Pakistan but couldn't manage to migrate to the Holy Land (Pakistan) for various reasons including unsafe travel.
The #Congress, on the other hand, encashed the guilt-fed #MuslimFears by turning them into a #VoteBank and adopted double speak on various issues such as #UniformCivilCode ,  #Article370 on #Kashmir #EthnicCleansingOfHindus in Kashmir, #BabriDemolition and #ShahbanoCase.

Today it is the expose of the
#CongressDoubleSpeak on #Muslims triggering open #PublicDebate, to which neither the Indian intelligentsia in general nor the Muslim elite in particular is accustomed to, that is being branded as #intolerance by #AwardWapsi gang or their fellow travellers knowingly or unknowingly.

Thus this whole hullabaloo of intolerance is more about the gestational discomfort of the self-professed #secular elite used to dishing out their Double Speak as The Plural Liberal Core Values for nearly seven decades and less about any intolerance on the ground.
Does it mean that there is no change in the ground level #PublicDiscourse? The answer is NO.
There is, for sure, a sea change in terms of the #diversity of opinions and so also the numbers involved. Earlier, you had only the 'Secular' Public with less of facts and more of minority-centric ideology whereas today you have
'Publics' with more of facts and
'#BasketOfPerspectives' rather than any particular #ideology.
Is all this because of the right-wing government at the Center? The answer is No as well as Yes.
It is NO because the prime mover is #Technology , not politics.
The technology mediated
#InteractiveCommunication has taken in its embrace the defining factors of today's India:
#Democracy, #Demography and #Demand.
Let's have a look at the numbers:
105 crore (1050 million) mobile connections;
35 crore (350 million) Net connections;
25 crore (250 million) smart phones; and
93 crore (930 million) youth.

With all this to boot, should one be in doubt about who is driving whom? Actually the young are talking to each other like never before. Upto the end of the last century, a student's choice of  ideology was not an informed decision but largely inspired by his favorite teacher who, generally, in a metro would be a #Leftist and in a small town a #Rightist. But today it is the plethora of sources of information leading to as many perspectives on the idea-platter of a college going student who, instead of being over-awed by his teacher, goes for an informed choice.
Thus it is the change in the nature of the mediating technology that has led to a very rich and informed public discourse that is mostly unaffected by what goes on in the traditional media of #TV and #Newspapers. In this sense,   what is being portrayed as 'intolerance' is actually the expression of real diversity which this country has always stood for but which was stymied by the microscopic 'secular' elite for nearly seven decades and which now is democratically replaced by a more accommodating political coalition symbolized by #NDA which is more a consequence of the said demographic and technological changes and less a driver of the same.
However this is only one,  dominant though, part of the story the other part of which is the reverse impact that the new Modi-led regime has on the mobile-wielding youth which now feel inspired to speak their mind without much inhibition that earlier was the hallmark of the ideology-driven #anti_intellectual and #monolithic Indian #intelligentsia.
No wonder, people fed by one-way TV news and newspapers are shaken by the talks of intolerance all-around while those in communication through the interactive social media and mobile are full of hope and aspirations.
