Why an Abdul Kalam is not the face of Muslims in India?

Let's look at what was the response of an average educated Muslim to #YakubHanging vis a vis the demise of Dr. APJ #AbdulKalam, one of the most towering Indians during the last five decades? The communiy leadership appears to have paid least attention to what is the common heritage of India as personified by our former President who gave us hour missile system and the latest nuclear deterrent and who inspired the Indian youth the most in terms of being and doing what is in the best national interest.

What are the realities on the ground?

1. Muslim Political leadership and clrrgy are opposed to Common Civil Laws?
2. Irrespective of level of education, Muslims generally refuse to question, on public platforms at least, the strong connection between their Faith and their Politics.
3. Constituting nearly 20 percent of the population, they still are a minority in statutory terms and politically behave like a ghettoized community. If they are a minority, what about Sikhs and Parsis?
4. On any issue involving a Muslim, they respond in a chorus irrespective of merits on the ground. Their response to the SC's confirmation of the capital punishment to #YakubMemon is a case in point. Why was #BeingSalmanKhan forced to tweet opposing Yakub's punishment and later retract from the same?
5. Except for that in Turkey, Muslims have refused to hand over their leadership to the middle class. This has disallowed them from coming out of the clutches of the Ulema or the Clergy.What have they done to Janab Arif Mohammad Khan, one of the finest leaders belonging to the community? Others such as M J Akbar and Shahid Siddiqui have also met the same fate.

Some friends feel that it is inappropriate to use Islam & Muslims as a separate category while writing on any issue. I wish it was so. At least, it has to be the ideal if we want to evolve as a strong nation. But this also means shying away from administering bitter pills in order that the patient doesn't feel bad.
All this is also present in Hindus in some measure but nothing of this kind has got constitutional or statutory sanction. For example the Untouchability has been legally abolished, men-women given equal civil rights, etc. And, on issues of importance, Hindus don't move en block irrespective of merits on the ground.

The other point raised is: I am a Hindu and I should not poke my nose into the affairs of other religions. My answer to this is: If I follow this kind of advice, I am sure not doing my role as a citizen who is governed by the norms of the Constitution that is now our most sacred Veda/Koran/Bible/Azvesta/Guru Granth Saheb/Tree Pitika et al--- all put together. And, as a citizen it is my constitutional duty to raise the citizenship level of all my compatriots irrespective of caste, creed, religion, region, etc. I am not even ready to say that what I am doing should ideally be doing by Muslims. No, this argument will mean that ideally a Muslim should not be critiquing Hindus or members of other Faiths. I understand they are as much entitled to criticizing any aspect of Hindu ways of life as any Hindu/Christian/Buddhist/Sikh/Parsi/Jain/Atheist is.

The bottom line : It is statistically inappropriate and methodologically incorrect not to treat our Muslim brethren as a Psychological Ghetto until they refuse to treat themselves as such.

सेकुलर की अवधारणा अभारतीय और यूरोप की नकल

#सेकुलर की अवधारणा ही #अभारतीय और #यूरोप की नकल पर है तथा संविधान में बाँटों और राज करो की रणनीति के तहत इंदिरा गांधी ने 1970 के दशक में #.आपातकाल से पहले जोड़ा था।नहीं तो 32 कोटि #देवताओं वाला समाज सर्वमत समभाव के अलावा और कुछ हो सकता है क्या?
1. #सामी (Semitic) मतों में खासकर इसाई मत को सैकड़ों सालों के क्रूसेड और लाखों निर्दोष मौतों की कीमत पर यह समझ आया कि अब #मजहब को राज से अलग (Seclude) कर देना चाहिए ।यह यूरोपीय पुनर्जागरण की देन है जिससे दूसरा और सबसे जवान सामी मत इस्लाम लगभग अछूता रहा। एक हद तक #तुर्की इसका अपवाद है।
2. भारत में मजहब का सत्ता से चोली-दामन का रिश्ता ही नहीं था तो फिर सेक्लुड किसे करते? भारत में #राजधर्म था जिसका मतलब राजा के #कर्तव्य से था।जनता के जीवन में भी यह कर्तव्य  से जुड़ा था।
अगर ऐसा नहीं होता तो यहाँ कोई दूसरा मजहब पनपता-टिकता नहीं और #यहूदी और #पारसी लोग क्रमशः #रोमन और #इस्लामी मजहबी हिंसा और जबरन #मतांतरण से बचने के लिए यहां भागकर नहीं आते? खुद #ईसा मसीह को अपनी माँ के साथ भागकर भारत नहीं  आना पड़ता।
3. निकट इतिहास में भारत में मुसलमानों का प्रतिशत आजादी के बाद तेजी से बढ़ा है( #बंगाल, #बिहार, #असम, #दिल्ली इसके उदाहरण हैं) और शांति के मजहब #इस्लाम के
 #पाकिस्तान में #हिन्दुओं का प्रतिशत 15 से घटकर 2 फीसदी रह गया है।इस पर सेकुलर चुप्पी नायाब है।
4. #दंगे चाहे जैसे भी रहें हों, भारत के हिन्दू बहुल इलाकों से
मुसलमानों  को अपना घर बार छोड़कर हमेशा के लिए कभी नहीं जाना पड़ा । लेकिन सिर्फ #कश्मीर (मुसलमान बहुल ) एक ऐसा इलाका है जहाँ से हिन्दुओं को  #जेहादियों ने #निज़ामेमुस्तफा लाने के लिए 19 जनवरी 1990 की डेडलाइन देकर #वतनबदर कर दिया ।
5.  घाटी में मुसलमानों की पीड़ा पर अनेक फिल्में बनी लेकिन किसी नामचीन डाइरेक्टर को लाखों $निर्वासित पंडितों पर फिल्म बनाने की हिम्मत नहीं हुई । किसका डर था?
और हाँ, कश्मीरी पंडितों के हाल पर बन रही #अशोक पंडित की फिल्म में रोल करने से परम सेकुलर
#अमर्त्य सेन ने अपनी बेटी को रोक दिया था ।
6. #सेकुलरबाज़ी का यह आलम है कि दिल्ली और #भागलपुर दंगे तथा #गोधरा #नरसंहार सेकुलर और #गुजरात #दंगा #कम्युनल है ।
7. #सेकुलरब्रिगेड की माने तो भारत का तथाकथित #सेकुलरिज़म #अल्पसंख्यकों खासकर  मुसलमानों की वजह से है।तब तो पाकिस्तान और #बाँग्लादेश  इस अर्थ में विशेष अनुकरणीय देश है।
8. साफ है भारत अगर एक #सर्वमत समभाव वाला देश है तो मूलतः  #बहुमत के अनुकूल जीवन-मूल्यों के कारण और संविधान इसी की अभिव्यक्ति है । आखिर हमारे संविधान निर्माताओं ने इस आयातित और नकल की अवधारणा यानी सेकुलरिजम को 1949 में क्यों नहीं स्वीकारा था?

9. अच्छी बात यह है कि भारत 100 करोड़ #मोबाइल पर सवार होकर तेजी से बदल रहा है । जिन्हें #रतौंधी है अब उनका क्या करें? #आप और  #मोदी के उभार दोनों एक ही  सिक्के के दो पहलू हैः 70 फीसदी #युवा, #100 करोड़ #मोबाइल और 30 करोड़  #मध्यवर्ग।

इन्हीं संदर्भों मे खुद को सेकुलर कहना और कहलाना एक भद्दा मजाक या #बौद्धिक #गाली जैसा लगता है।

याकूब मेमन को फाँसी: कुछ सुलगते सवाल

1. सवाल यह नहीं कि याकूब को फाँसी आज ठीक थी या कल, सवाल यह है किसी को भी फाँसी की सज़ा क्यों मिलनी चाहिए?

2. अगर किसी को भी फाँसी हो सकती है तो याकूब मेमन को क्यों नहीं? क्या इसलिए कि वह मुसलमान है?

3. 1947 से 2013 तक कुल 754 लोगों को फाँसी की  सज़ा हुई है।इसमें सिर्फ 34 यानी 5% से भी कम मुसलमान हैं । क्या आबादी के अनुपात में फाँसी को लाने के लिए समुदाय और जातिवार आरक्षण होना चाहिए?

4. क्या फाँसी की सज़ा को याकूब के जन्मदिन से
जोड़कर देखा जाना चाहिए? हाँ, तो किसी के भी जीवन का अंत करनेवाली ऐसी सज़ा ही क्यों न ख़त्म हो?

5. याकूब मेमन की दया याचिका दो बार खारिज हो चुकी है।उसके 5 भाइयों समेत लगभग पूरा परिवार मुंबई बम धमाके (253 मौतें)की साज़िश में शामिल था।
याकूब मेमन के जन्मदिन पर फाँसी को लेकर छाती पीट रहे सेकुलरों में कितनों ने मुंबई धमाकों में मरे इन 253 लोगों के परिवारों की भी चिन्ता की हैं?

6. ऐसा क्यों है कि याकूब को फाँसी की सज़ा पर छाती पीटनेवालों में वे लोग ज्यादा हैं जो  डा. कलाम को दोबारा राष्ट्रपति बनाने के विरोधी थे?

7. इस देश के लोगों को यह तय करना है कि उन्हें #याकूबमेमन चाहिए या #अब्दुलकलाम ?  #जज़िया लगाने वाला #औरंगजेब या जज़िया हटाने वाला #अकबर ?

कलाम के नाम ख़त: जा रहे हो तो आने का वादा करो...

कलाम साहेब,
प्रणाम ।
एक दिन सबको जाना होता है सो आपको भी जाना पड़ा । इस पर क्या  रोना-गाना, क्या गिले-शिकवे करना ।आप जरूर चाहते रहे होंगे कि कुछ और दिन यहाँ रहें ताकि गुलाम मानसिकता वाले इस देश के नक्काल मध्यवर्ग को जितना संभव हो झकझोर सकें।लेकिन जो आपने किया वह कोई कम तो नहीं?
आज इस देश का युवा अगर जोश से भरा है, आशा से लबरेज है, इस और उस नकली-असली विचारधारा का शिकार हुए बगैर बड़े-बड़े सपने देख रहा है, अपने मन की बात बेझिझक कह रहा है, उपभोक्ता से ज्यादा नागरिक बन रहा है और समाज तथा सरकार बनाने तक नये-नये प्रयोग कर रहा है, तो इस सब में आपका बड़ा रोल है क्योंकि आप उनके रोल माॅडल जो बन गए थे , हैं और रहेंगे ।
अभी किसी ने लिखा कि आपको सोनिया जी ने आपको दोबारा राष्ट्रपति बनने दिया होता तो कितना अच्छा होता! यह तो एकदम से मुँहपुराँव है यानी उसका मन रखने की बात जिसका मन ही देश का , जनता-जनार्दन का मन हो गया था और जिससे राष्ट्रपति का पद गरिमा पाता था ।एक मोसल्लम हिन्दुस्तानी मन जिसमें एक तरफ सबको स्वीकारने की क्षमता हो जैसा वैदिक ऋषि दीर्घतमा कह गए:
एकोसद्विप्रा बहुधा वदन्ति ( एक ही सत्य को भिन्न-भिन्न सत्यार्थी भिन्न-भिन्न तरह से समझते-कहते हैं)...
तो दूसरी तरफ सबको किनारे कर अपना मार्ग बनाने की क्षमता हो जैसा बुद्ध ने महाप्रयाण से पहले अपने प्रिय शिष्य आनंद से कहा था:
अप्प दीपो भव (अपना दीपक खुद बनो)।

जबसे आपके चोला-त्याग की खबर मिली है तभी से मेरा मन एकदम से बउआ रहा है किसी बावले की तरह । अगर ऐसा नहीं होता तो इतनी बेतुकी बातें मैं इस फेसबुकिया पोस्टकार्ड पर लिखने की भला हिम्मत कर पाता?
कल रात से  ही घरवालों ने मुझे बरबराते सुना है:
कलाम कक्का , ये बताओ जब ऊपर चले ही गए हो तो पहले खुसरो और मीर के सिरहाने जाओगे या रामानंद, शंकराचार्य और  चाणक्य के? महात्मा बुद्ध को पता नहीं चला होगा ऐसी बात नहीं भले ही वे काफी समय से चीन-जापान की यात्रा पर हैं । अकबर और शेरशाह तो शहंशाह ठहरे, भले ही कुछ बोले नहीं लेकिन आप उनसे जल्दी नहीं मिलें तो उन्हें भी अच्छा नहीं लगेगा ।
आपकी अपनी कुछ प्रोफेशनल विवशता भी होगी कि इतने व्यस्त कार्यक्रम में कहीं आर्यभट्ट, भास्कराचार्य, वराहमिहीर, चरक, सुश्रुत जैसे समानधर्मा से भी दुआ-सलाम करने में एकदम विलंब न हो ।
एक परेशानी तो यह भी है कि आप मीठी ईद के कुछ ही समय बाद वहाँ पधारे हैं तो सब सेवइयाँ भी माँगेंगे । खैर इससे तो आप निपट लेंगे किसी को  '2020' तो किसी को 'अग्नि की उड़ान' की कापी देकर ।
अब जब देर-सबेर सबसे आपकी मुलाकात होनी तय है तो सबसे एक सवाल जरूर करियेगा कि इधर चन्द्रगुप्त, समुद्रगुप्त, शेरशाह, अकबर, राजा रंजीत सिंह, सुभाष बोस, पटेल और जमशेद जी टाटा जैसों की बड़ी डिमांड है और सप्लाई नहीं के बराबर है, ऐसा क्यो? इस कारण सब जगह चाइनीज़ माल की तरह फेक यानी नक्कालों का बोलबाला है।
मेरे हिसाब से इस काम में सबसे ज्यादा मददगार साबित होंगे चाणक्य,  शंकराचार्य और खुसरो क्योंकि ये सब घोर भारत-व्याकुल आत्माएँ हैं और देशहित में कुछ भी करने से नहीं हिचकेंगीं ।
और अंत में, हो सके तो इधर जल्दी आ जाना। कक्का तेरी बड़ी जरूरत है।एक कव्वाली याद आ रही है:
आ गए हो तो जाने की जिद ना करो
जा रहे हो तो आने का वादा करो...

Faith Analysis of Violence: Can It Give Any Reliable Insights Into Inter-Faith Issues?

Debate begets debate, finalities cause finalities and cpompassion too leads to compassion. Can we get statistical to reach certain conclusions. Should we engage in sort of FAITH ANSLYSIS of violence globally over a period of say 15 years to test the relationship between a Faith and the Violence in the name of the Faith? Rules of the game could be:
1. Stated objective of violence
2. Implicit objective of violence
3. Scio-economic background of the perpetrators of violence
4. Whether deviance allowed by the mainstream followers of the Faith
5. If there is space for questioning the fundamentals of the Faith
6. The concept of equality is intra-Faith or inter-Faith
7. If there a history of solving problems through debates
8. If there is regard for middle class values

Why are the likes of Arif Mohd. Khan, M J Akbar, Shahid Siddiqui not the face of Indian Muslims?

Some friends feel that it is inappropriate to use Islam & Muslims as a separate category while writing on any issue. I wish it was so. At least, it has to be the ideal if we want to evolve as a strong nation. But this also means shying away from administering bitter pills in order that the patient doesn't feel bad.
What are the realities on the ground?
1. Muslim leadership is opposed to Common Civil Laws?
2. Irrespective of level of education, Muslims generally refuse to question, on public platforms at least, the strong connection between their Faith and their Politics.
3. Constituting nearly 20 percent of the population, they still are a minority in statutory terms and politically behave like a ghettoized community. If they are a minority, what about Sikhs and Parsis?
4. On any issue involving a Muslim, they respond in a chorus irrespective of merits on the ground. Their response to the SC's confirmation of the capital punishment to #YakubMemon is a case in point. Why was #BeingSalmanKhan forced to tweet opposing Yakub's punishment and later retract from the same?
5. Except for that in Turkey, Muslims have refused to hand over their leadership to the middle class. This has disallowed them from coming out of the clutches of the Ulema or the Clergy.What have they done to Janab Arif Mohammad Khan, one of the finest leaders belonging to the community? Others such as M J Akbar and Shahid Siddiqui have also met the same fate.

All this is also present in Hindus in some measure but nothing of this kind has got constitutional or statutory sanction. For example the Untouchability has been legally abolished, men-women given equal civil rights, etc. And, on issues of importance, Hindus don't move en block irrespective of merits on the ground.

The other point raised is: I am a Hindu and I should not poke my nose into the affairs of other religions. My answer to this is: If I follow this kind of advice, I am sure not doing my role as a citizen who is governed by the norms of the Constitution that is now our most sacred Veda/Koran/Bible/Azvesta/Guru Granth Saheb/Tree Pitika et al--- all put together. And, as a citizen it is my constitutional duty to raise the citizenship level of all my compatriots irrespective of caste, creed, religion, region, etc. I am not even ready to say that what I am doing should ideally be doing by Muslims. No, this argument will mean that ideally a Muslim should not be critiquing Hindus or members of other Faiths. I understand they are as much entitled to criticizing any aspect of Hindu ways of life as any Hindu/Christian/Buddhist/Sikh/Parsi/Jain/Atheist is.

The bottom line : It is statistically inappropriate and methodologically incorrect not to treat our Muslim brethren as a Psychological Ghetto until they refuse to treat themselves as such.

इस्लामी कट्टरता बनाम हिन्दू जातिप्रथा:ज़हर को ज़हर काटता रहा

प्रश्न 1. Sanjay Khare जी का सवाल है: क्या कश्मीर में हिंदू के नाम पर पंडित ही रहते हैं,अन्य जातियाँ नही ?

प्रश्न 2. क्या जहाँ जाति व्यवस्था मजबूत थी वहाँ अमनपसंद इस्लाम का शमशीर खास कामयाब नहीं हुआ?

उत्तर:
पहली बात तो यह कि 'पंडित रहते थे', 'रहते हैं' नहीं।1990 में शांतिपूर्वक भगा दिए ग्ए।दूसरी बात, मेरी जानकारी में हिन्दुओं में सिर्फ पंडित बचे हैं।बाकी सब मुसलमान बना दिए गए। इसी तरह के जबरन मुसलमान बनाये जाने के विरोध के चलते गुरू तेगबहादुर की शहादत हुई थी।चाँदनी चौक दिल्ली का शीशगंज गुरुद्वारा उन्हीं की स्मृति में बना है।इसकी विस्तृत जानकारी के लिए शीशगंज गुरुद्वारा संग्रहालय की स्थाई प्रदर्शनी का एक चक्कर लगा लीजिए क्योंकि सेकुलर इतिहासकार इस पर कुछ कहना पार्टी लाइन के विरोध में मानते हैं।
फिर गुरु साहब के सर को आरे से धर से अलग करने की आज्ञा देने और हिन्दुओं पर करीब 125 साल बाद फिर से जज़िया लगाने वाले औरंगजेब को 'ज़िन्दा पीर' (परम दयालु ) जो साबित करना था। दूसरी तरफ गुरू गोबिन्दसिंह को लुटेरा कहने में उन्हें कोई हिचक नहीं हुई ।
एक और बात।1560 के दशक में अकबर ने जज़िया हटाया था । उसी अकबर को उसके समकालीन उलेमा लगभग काफिर मानते थे।आज के उलेमा भी कोई अलग राय नहीं रखते।लेकिन सूफी परंपरा और संगीत से चिढ़ने वाला औरंगजेब आज 'ज़िन्दा पीर' हो गया!
सेकुलर माया जो न करा दे।
इसका मतलब यह नहीं कि पंडित मुसलमान नहीं बने ।जितने 'बट' हैं वे भट्ट  पंडितों के वंशज हैं । खुद इक़बाल के पूर्वज पंडित थे।
गांधार(कांधार) से लेकर कश्मीर तक बौद्ध धर्म का काफी असर था।लेकिन कश्मीर में शैव मत भी अच्छा असर रखता था।इसलिए कुछ हिन्दू मुसलमान होने से बच गए।
'अहिंसा -ग्रस्त' गांधार तो रातोंरात शांति के मजहब इस्लाम के शमशीर का कायल हो गया लेकिन जैसे-जैसे 'हिन्दुओं के इस्लामी पहलू' यानी जाति -ग्रस्त समाज से पाला पड़ता गया, शमशीर की धार कुंद होती चली गई।बाकी कथा तो जगजाहिर है।
तलवार को तलवार काटती है।इस्लामी शमशीर लोहे का था, सत्ता का था , पाशविक महत्वाकांक्षाओं का था । इन सबसे हजार साल तक अकेले लड़ती रही यह जात-पांत और छुआछूत-ग्रस्त व्यवस्था । ज़हर को ज़हर काटता रहा ।

आतंकवाद का मजहब नहीं पर सूर्य नमस्कार का धर्म होता है

Sumant Bhattacharya​  ने अपने फेसबुक पोस्ट पर यह बात लिखी है।ट्वीटर पर भी कुछ समय से इस तरह की बात खूब चल रही है।अब जरा इसका समाज-मनोवैज्ञानिक पोस्टमार्टम कर लिया जाए ।
यह बात तो चुटिली और चोटदायी दोनों है। चुटिली इसलिए कि सेकुलर ब्रिगेड के दोहरेपन को नुमाया करती है।कश्मीर से बाहर मुसलमान तो मोसल्लम अल्पसंख्यक है।इसलिए उसकी उल्टी-सीधी हर बात को मानिए मानों पूरे देश का दामाद हो।
अब कश्मीर के अंदर तो मुसलमान एकदम से बहुसंख्यक है और 1990 के बाद तो निज़ामेमुस्तफा का बेसब्री से इंतज़ार भी है।नहीं तो शेख नुरूद्दीन वली यानी नुंद ऋषि की मज़ार मस्त गुल क्यों जलाता ।और हाँ, 1990 में कश्मीरी पंडितों को घाटी से निकाल दिया गया था ।19 जनवरी की डेडलाइन थी। इसके पहरे एक नर्स नीरजा मट्टू को बलात्कार के बाद आरे मशीन से चीरकर मार डाला गया था । वैसे कितने अमनपसंद लोग इसके विरोध में सड़कों पर उतरे थे। जो भी हो , इतनी छोटी-सी घटना पर घाटी छोड़ना बुजदिली नहीं तो और क्या है?
नहीं तो यही मुसलमान 1947 में पाकिस्तान नहीं गए यही क्या कम है! अब इतनी सी बात भगवा ब्रिगेड को समझ नहीं आती।
इसीलिए उन्हें 'आतंकवाद का कोई मजहब नहीं होता' , यह बात समझ में नहीं आती । भाई जबतक पूरी दुनिया में आतंकवादियों की संख्या का 80 फीसदी मुसलमान रहेंगे तबतक मजहब और आतंकवाद का कोई रिश्ता नहीं रहेगा । सेकुलर दास ने जो कह दिया सो कह दिया । बकवास बंद ।
इसी आधार पर पूरी दुनिया को रोशनी देने वाले सूर्य के नाम पर सूर्य नमस्कार आसन को बाबू लोग कहता है कि इसका धर्म से नाता नहीं , यह तो तन-मन को स्वस्थ करनेवाला एक आसन है।बुरबक लोग! अरे, इसमें ॐ है कि नहीं ? तो यह हिन्दू-टाइप हुआ कि नहीं? चाँद की बात होती तो फिर हम कुछ सोचते ।
पर बुरबक लोगों की संख्या अब दिन दूनी रात चौगुनी हो रही है।इंटरनेट और मोबाइल ने सारा बेरा गर्क कर दिया है। इसलिए 'साम्प्रदायिक सूर्य नमस्कार' अब चोटदायी भी है।

सुरेश भट्टः ...ना काहू से बेटी बिअहिहौं

नवभारत टाइम्स (पटना) के दिनों में एक-दो बार उनको देखा था।नया-नया था वहाँ । ब्राह्मण समाज में ज्यों अछूत! क्योंकि मैं पत्रकारिता संस्थान से पढ़कर आया था और ज्यादातर लोग जीवन के संघर्षों के विश्वविद्यालय से तपकर आये थे। शायद इसीलिए भट्ट जी के बारे में मौखिक परम्परा से वह सब नहीं जान सका जो अभी-अभी नवेंदु कुमार जी के पोस्ट और उस पर टिप्पणियों को पढ़कर जाना है।लेकिन उनको पहचानने में क्षण भर भी नहीं लगा।यह थी उनकी शख्सियत-गुजरते हुए भी आसपास के लोगों पर  ऐसा असर छोड़ देना जो दूर तक और देर तक  रंग लाए ।ऐसे लोग मोमबत्ती की तरह जलते और मिटते हुए दूसरों को रौशन करते हैं।
अगर उन्हें नीचे यानी मधुर जलपान रेस्तराँ में चलने के लिए सामने वाले को कहना पड़ता था , इसका मतलब यह कि बिहारी मध्यवर्ग 1990 के दशक का अपहरण उद्योग डिजर्व करता था।
हम अपने हीरो के मरने का क्यों इंतज़ार करते हैं? इसलिए कि उनकी बौद्धिक, सामाजिक, राजनीतिक पूँजी पर हाथ साफ कर सकें? विधवा विलाप और रुदाली करते हुए यह साबित करना कि हम तो बर्बाद हो गए? चारों तरफ 'अंधकार छा गया' जैसा कि इंदिरा गांधी की हत्या के बाद नवभारत टाइम्स ने अपने बैनर हेड में कहा था?
आज ये सारे पोस्ट पढ़ते हुए श्रद्धांजलि शिल्पी शिवपूजन सहाय बहुत याद आए । वे हर ऐसी मौत पर सर धुनते , समाज को कोसते-से और फिर समाज की तरफ से माफी मांगते से प्रतीत होते थे।
असीमा भट्ट की पोस्ट तो एक तरह से क्रूर, सत्ता-भीरु और बहुभाँति लोलुप समाज के चाल-चलन और भवितव्य की ओर ईशारा करते हैं।अनिल सिन्हा ने अपने 'हीरो' के प्रति मराठी समाज की श्रद्धा का हवाला देकर इस बात को और पुष्ट ही किया है। नवेन्दु जी ने पृष्ठभूमि देकर हम जैसों को समृद्ध किया है।

कबीर के 'मन लागे मेरो फक़ीरी में' के साथ तुलसी के 'ना काहू से बेटी बिअहिहौं' के बिना आजीवन-कार्यकर्ता सुरेश भट्ट जी का  व्यक्तित्व पूरा नहीं होता क्योंकि उन्होंने ने अपनी बीबी-बच्चों की जिम्मेदारी पूरे ठसक के साथ समाज को सौंप दी थी। जड़ परंपराओं को ठेंगा दिखाते हुए ।

सेकुलर दास 'बाल स्वयंसेवक' बनेंगे?

अभी-अभी पता चला है कि बंदानवाज़ दाढ़ीदराज़ #सेकुलरदास झंडेवालान के पास एक दुकान से दो  जोड़ा खाकी निक्कर खरीदते देखे गए हैं । हमें पूरा विश्वास है कि अगर ठीक-ठाक कुर्सी मिल जाए तो उन्हें 'बाल स्वयंसेवक' बनने में कोई खास परेशानी नहीं होगी ।
विश्वत सूत्रों ने उनके एक बाल सखा के हवाले से कहा है कि बंदानवाज़ यह मानते हैं कि परिदृश्य बदलते ही  हमें अपनी दृष्टि बदलने में देर नहीं करनी चाहिए ।आगे के हवाल की जानकारी आपको सिर्फ इसी ब्लाग पर सबसे पहले दी जाएगी।
सुनने में आया है कि राजधानी दिल्ली में ही सेकुलरदासी पीठ से जुड़े हजारों लोग हैं जो 1991 में सोवियत संघ के पतन के बाद से ही किसी #वामावतार की चातक-प्रतीक्षा करते-करते थक चुके हैं।#अन्ना-#आप से उन्हें बहुत आस बँधी थी लेकिन #दिल्लीसरकार के रवैये ने उनके सत्ताभीरु मन को चोट पहुँचाई  है और वे आप-समर्थन को अब ' टैक्टिकल ब्लंडर' के रूप में दर्ज करने की ठान चुके हैं।

ब्रैकिंग नूजः सेकुलर दास ने किसी से भी बात करना बंद कर दिया है।उनके हाथ में 'दास कैपिटल ' की एक नई-नई प्रति देखी गई है । इस बीच एक जर्मन पादरी दो छोटे पर भारी बक्सों के साथ उनसे मिले थे। पादरी तो चले गए पर बक्से रह गए। बंदानवाज़ के बाल सखा का मानना है कि उनके बदले रूख का राज़ इन्हीं छोटी मगर भारी पेटियों में छिपा है।

सरस्वति शिशु मंदिर, शोभा शामी और फेसबुकिया आक-जवास-भांग-धतुर-गांजा-अफीम-राग-विराग...

Sumant Bhattacharya​  ने सुश्री Shobha Shami का एक पोस्ट शेयर किया है जिस पर आक-जवास-भांग-धतुर-गांजा-अफीम-राग-विराग सब तरह के कमेंट दरपेश हैं।
दादा हमेशा की तरह शालीन और तार्किक पर भक्त तो भक्त होते हैं।उन्होंने नास्तिक बुद्ध को ही भगवान और विष्णु का दसवां अवतार बना दिया।अब इसमें बेचारे बुद्ध का क्या दोष? कहते हैं अरबी का 'बुत' भी 'बुद्ध' से ही निकला है। ऐसा बाबा साहब आंबेडकर कहते हैं।
बहरहाल संघ संचालित  'सरस्वती शिशु मंदिर' पर  सुश्री शोभा सामी का यह पोस्ट कुछ-कुछ वैसा ही है जैसे कपड़ा किसी का और देह किसी और की।झूठ में अमूमन  सर्जनात्मकता होती है जो उसे आकर्षक और मनोरंजक बनाती है।बच्चे क्या कम झूठ बोलते है?

लेकिन इस पोस्ट में वह शिशुसुलभ सर्जनात्मकता न पाकर निराश होने का कोई कारण नहीं । कभी-कभी युवक-युवती भी तो बच्चों की तरह तुतलाने का नाटक या प्रयास करते हैं । अब यह प्रयास तो झूठा नहीं हो सकता। इस पोस्ट को इसी भावना से देखना श्रेयस्कर  है।तुलसीदास कह गए हैं:

जे न मित्र दुख होंही दुखारी ।
उनही बिलोकत पातक भारी।।

मैं तो किसी पाप का भागी बनने की हिम्मत रखता नहीं और बाकी मित्रों से अनुरोध है कि वे भी सुश्री शोभा सामी को शिशुसुलभ सर्जनात्मकता प्राप्त हो--इसकी भगवान, यीशु, अल्लाह, वाहे गुरू सबसे दुआ मांगें क्योंकि दवाएं तो अपना खेल दिखा चुकीं।

ईश्वर की अवधारणा से जुड़े हैं समय और इतिहास

राजा भोजपाल जिनके नाम  पर बसी आज की नगरी भोपाल। झीलों के शहर की सबसे बड़ी झील  'बड़ा तालाब' में स्थापित मूर्ति इतिहास की समानांतर परम्परा की उपलब्धि...यहाँ समयबोध एकरेखीय नहीं चक्रीय है...और इसके उत्स में है ईश्वर की भारतीय अवधारना:
एकोसद्विप्रा बहुधा वदंन्ति...
भारत में ईश्वर, इतिहास और समय की अवधारणाएं अविच्छिन्न हैं और दैनंदिन के व्यवहार से जुड़ी हैं।
कभी आपने सोचा है कि भारत का एक औसत व्यक्ति खुद लेट होने या दूसरे के लेट  होने को गंभीरता से क्यों नहीं लेता?

किसी बातचीत में गाली का प्रयोग कहाँ तक और क्यों स्वीकार्य होना चाहिए?

Saurabh Shekhar अपनी बात के पक्ष में तर्क देने से कोई दिक्कत नहीं है, मगर एक बात मेरी समझ में नहीं आती कि ये भारतीय परंपरा के ध्वजवाहक बिना गालियों के अपनी बात क्यों नहीं रख पाते। मन में इतनी घृणा रख कर क्या कोई संवाद संभव है?

Chandrakant P Singh हमारी आपकी तरह गाली न देनेवालों को इसका समाज-मनोवैज्ञानिक अध्ययन करना चाहिए नहीं तो हम सब बड़ी तेजी से (मोबाइल और इंटरनेट के कारण) निरर्थक हो जाएंगे।वैसे भी भारत का बुद्धिजीवी अपनी बुद्धिविलासिता और बौद्धिक कायरता के कारण मसखरे जैसी स्थिति को प्राप्त करता नजर आता है। 1973 की बात है।हमारे पड़ोसी गांव की दादी कहती थी:
जे जेतना पढुआ उ ओतना भड़ुआ।

गाली की भाषा का एक मतलब तो साफ है:
ईमानदारी और तिरस्कृत होने का भाव या फिर जल्दबाजी जैसे टीवी या फिल्म स्टूडियो खासकर टेक्नीशियनों के बीच।

Chandrakant P Singh वैसे मैं गाली से ज्यादा विषयवस्तु पर ध्यान देना उचित समझूंगा।और हां, 1991 में मैं गालियों की सार्थकता पर पीएचडी करने की सोच रहा था!

Saurabh Shekhar अंतरंग बात-चीत के दौरान या लोकजीवन में जिन गालियों का प्रयोग होता है उनमे हिंसा का नहीं अनौपचारिकता और बेबाकी का स्वर होता है। मगर फेसबुक पर आप एक सुचिंतित पोस्ट लिखते हैं और उसमें ऐसे सुभाषित का प्रयोग करते हैं तो विपरीत विचार वाले के प्रति गहरी नफरत और असहिष्णुता के अलावा कुछ भी जाहिर नहीं होता, यह हर विषयवस्तु को ढक लेता है।

Chandrakant P Singh अब 'अश्वगंधा' का ये सांसद क्या करेंगे? घोड़े से जोड़ेंगे। यह और कुछ नहीं शुद्ध कुपढ़ होने का प्रमाण है।

फिर गालियां बनी हैं तो क्यों बनी हैं? निश्चत रूप से यह पढुओं की सर्जनात्मकता की कुवत से बाहर है। ये तो 'भाखा' निर्माण करनेवाले तथाकथित अनपढ़ लोगों की मानस-फैक्ट्री से निकलती हैं और 'पढ़ुआ' लोगों द्वारा वैसे ही इस्तेमाल की जाती हैं जैसे अंधेरी सुनसान जगह पर किसी लड़की को देख कोई सभ्यसमाजी गाना गाए:

आज मचल जाए तो हमें ना बचइयो...

Saurabh Shekhar आप ठीक कह रहे हैं, तमाम बौद्धिक स्पेस पर अपढ़ जैसे छाते चले जा रहे हैं, वह दिन दूर नहीं जब नए से नए यौन रूपक गढ़ना ही सर्जनात्मकता की कसौटी बनेगी।
Saurabh Shekhar सांसद महोदय तो अपने अन्य सखाओं, सत्तधारी और सत्ताच्युत, की तरह राजनीति कर रहे हैं,उसकी क्या मीमांसा की जाये।

Chandrakant P Singh यह तो एक हद तक इस तरह की पोस्ट के पाठक का मसला ज्यादा है और पोस्टकार का कम। लालू प्रसाद जी 1990 के दशक में कैसी भाषा का इस्तेमाल करते थे: भुरा बाल साफ करो, वगैरह।असली मुद्दा लक्षित श्रोता है, न कि कोई भी। अब न हरि अनंत हैं न उनकी कथा!

Saurabh Shekhar लालू प्रसाद जी के साथ साथ उनकी भाषा का पर्याप्त मान-मर्दन किया जा चुका है,अब क्या दक्षिणपंथी विद्वजन किसी लालू जैसे मसखरे से प्रेरणा ग्रहण करेंगे?

Chandrakant P Singh मैं लालू जी को आजादी के बाद के सफलतम वक्ताओं में एक मानता हूँ। बिहार और देश के कुपढ़ बुद्धिविलासियों ने उन्हें सिर्फ जाति के चश्मे से देखा।लेकिन बाहरवालों ने उनके साथ ज्यादा न्याय किया है।

Saurabh Shekhar वक्ता ही क्यों मेरी नज़र में वे सफलतम नेताओं में से एक हैं। सत्ता तंत्र को सामाजिक विस्तार देने में उनकी भूमिका अचूक रही है। फेस वैल्यू पर तो उन्हें सिर्फ सवर्ण मीडिया और द्विज पार्टियों ने लिया।

मोबाइल-इंटरनेट जी के साथ-साथ इन्हें भी सलाम!

कल (11 जुलाई) की रात और आज की सुबह Sumant Bhattacharya​   और अजित सिंह #iamajitsingh  को  फेसबुक पर पढ़ते हुए बीती है।ये दोनों जीवन के विश्वविद्यालय के आचार्य हैं और इनकी देश-समाज को बड़ी जरूरत है।ये बुद्धिवीर हैं , कोरे बुद्धिजीवी /बुद्धिविलासी नहीं।मोबाइल-इंटरनेट जी के साथ-साथ इन्हें भी सलाम।

सावधान! कहीं सेकुलर 'मोडेस्टी आउटरेज' न हो जाए

कल इफ्तार के दौरान बहुत दिनों बाद बंदानवाज़ दाढ़ीदराज़ उर्फ सेकुलर दास से जामा मस्जिद के मटियामहल बाज़ार में आमना-सामना हो गया। वे इस बार बड़े गर्मजोशी से मिले और बात करते-करते जवाहर होटल में ले गए। मेरे लिए चिकन टिक्का और अपने लिए फिरनी की खीर आर्डर कर दी और इसके पहले कि मैं कुछ बोलूँ शुरू हो गए:

आजकल सेकुलर लोग बड़े छुईमुई की तरह व्यवहार करते हैं।
उनकी वैचारिक मोडेस्टी किस बात पर आउटरेज हो जाए, ये ब्रह्म भी नहीं जानता।
पहले तो भारतीय परंपरा की हर अच्छी बात पर इनको बौद्धिक नसबंदी का खतरा पैदा होने लगता था।अगर किसी ने गुप्त कालीन स्वर्णयुग की बात कर ली तो फिर पूछिये मत-- यह तो उस सिंहनाद की तरह था जिससे इनके बौद्धिक गर्भपात का खतरा पैदा हो जाए।अगर मार्क्स बाबा के अलावा किसी को अर्घ्य देने , जल चढ़ाने  या फिर  उनके भारत संबंधी ज्ञान पर आपने सवाल उठा दिया तो फिर सात फाँसी की सज़ा भी कम है।

कभी-कभी लगता है कि तीन किताबी मजहबों के समुद्रमंथन से जो अमृत निकला होगा उसका क्या हुआ वो तो राम जाने, पर विष तो अकेले सेकुलर-वामियों के लक्कड़ दादा कार्ल मार्क्स के हिस्से आया।उनके एक मानस पुत्र हुए रजनी पाम दत्त जिनसे पूछे बिना भारतीय वामी लोग नित्यक्रिया छोड़कर कुछ नहीं करते थे।

कहते तो यह भी हैं कि 1940-50 के दशक के एक नामचीन हिन्दी आलोचक ने उनकी राय पर 14-15 वीं सदी के संत कवि कबीर को मार्क्सवादी और तुलसी को मार्क्सविरोधी  घोषित कर दिया था।
मैने जोड़ा, इस जमात की वैचारिक -भक्ति  से ईर्ष्या होने लगी है मुझे। इस पर बंदानवाज़ मुस्कुराए और धीरे से
फुसफुसाए, आजकल मैं एक मंत्रजाप कर रहा हूँ जिसे चाहो तो तुम भी ट्राई कर सकते हो:
भज मार्क्सासं भज मार्क्सासं मार्क्सासं भज मूढ़ मते।

सेकुलर दास उवाच: न दवा घटे न बीमारी मिटे

#मोदी जी ने देश के 25 सालों में टनाटन हो जाने की बात क्या कह दी, बुद्धिविलासी तबका अर्र-बर्र बके जा रहा है।पाँच साल कहकर आए थे अब 25 बरस माँग रहे हैं।भई, माँग ही तो रहे हैं। आप मत देना, ले आना फिर कोई ईतालवी पास्ता-पिज्जा और खिला देना जनता जनार्दन को: भईया, गेहूँ-चावल और हरी सब्जी की जगह अब यही चलेगा। यही सेकुलर भोजन है, मईया ने कहा है।

अब जिनकी बुद्धि के अंडे से चुजा नहीं सिर्फ अंडा निकलता हो , वे क्या जाने कि जिस व्यक्ति को नूडल खाने की लत लग जाए उसे बहला-फुसलाकर ही पौष्टिक आहार दिया जा सकता है।

कम्युनल- सेकुलर राजनीति ने जनता को किसी भी टिकाऊ समाधान के लिए मानसिक तौर पर अक्षम बना दिया था। अब आप ही देखिए, 1984 का दिल्ली दंगा सेकुलर और 2002 का गुजरात दंगा कम्युनल।

सेकुलर दास फरमाते हैं: बीमारी कोई भी हो, उसे सेकुलर-कम्युनल का तगड़ा अफीमी डोज दे दो। हो गया फटाफट ईलाज।न दवा घटे न बीमारी मिटे।
सोच रहा हूँ , ऐसी सस्ती-सुलभ और टिकाऊ दवा के होते भला कोई डाक्टर के पास क्यों जाए!

After Buddhism of 2K Years Ago, #SkillIndia May Prove India's Second Tool To Stamp Its Victory Over China!

Not many people reach to the top in their respective examinations though they are no less competent; it is just that they are able in a different way. It is in this sense that the #SkillIndia campaign launched by the #Indian PM #NarendraModiis surely based on the comparative advantage the country has vis -a-vis China , ie., cheap and young labour force in abundance. In this sense, is similar to what late Prof. C K Prahlad said in his book FORTUNE LIES AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PYRAMID while making forecast for the retail market globally.

Here the 'bottom' refers to the large mass of the poor young capable of jumping to the higher economic orbit through skill development. No wonder #Modi calims that along the lines of IITs, our ITIs would get global respectability by producing gainfully employable skilled manpower that might help India emerge as the capital of skilled labour. True, in the next ten years Asia will emerge as the manufacturing hub of the world that is apparent from the lead role played by China, Korean and Japan, among others.

India may not be in a position to out-compete them in the short run but it can take lead in the global supply of human resource because of its demography marked by nearly 75 percent population being young which is not the case with China about which it is said in a rather lighter vein: China may soon become too old to reap the benefits of its growth.

The Indian democracy has the capacity to impart diversity to the skill-sets in which its youth will choice to be trained in unlike that in China which politically continues to be largely dictatorial or the rule by the few. 

With this in view the following may emerge in a decade or so:

• The #SkillIndia campaign may prove to its trained poor young in the long run and in a sustainable manner what NREGP has proved to the teeming poor in the short run (though not sustainable in the long run).
• The campaign will help double the size of the #IndianMiddleClass to 600 million.
• It may prove to be the second Freedom Movement in the country, i.e, freedom from poverty and hunger; and, and thus also broad-base the political democracy through financial inclusion.
• As in the case of IT today, the campaign will ready the youth to lead the global #SoftPower race in the manufacturing sector.
• The country's dependence on the #MiddleEast countries for foreign exchange will be reduced by responding to the global demand for skilled labour which today is region- and community-specific as of today.
• The large but mostly underutilized and underdeveloped university system of today will be used to respond to the #SkillIndia campaign in a gainful manner and it will no longer be the last refuse of those ready to enter the unemployable labour force.
• The higher education will attract only those who are interested in research, academics and strategic studies of all kinds.

आखिरी वक्त क्या खाक मुसलमां होंगे...

आज मैं दो लोगों को धन्यवाद देना चाहता हूँ: Sumant Bhattacharya और अजित सिंह को।

दादा यानी सुमंत भट्टाचार्य ने दद्दा यानी अजित सिंह ‪#‎iamajisingh‬ से मेरा फेसबुक पर परिचय कराया। तो दादा हुए ' गुरू' और दद्दा हुए 'गोबिन्द' जिनके बेबाक विचारों से आशना हुए बिना रहा नहीं जा सकता । नहीं प्रभावित होने की सिर्फ एक शर्त है जिसका बयान 1973 के दिनों हमारे पड़ोसी गांव की एक दादी करती थी:

जे जेतना पढ़ुआ उ ओतना भड़ुआ...

मैं पढ़ुआ नहीं हूँ इस पर इसलिए विश्वास करना चाहिए कि मुझे इसे डिकोड करने में 40 साल लग गए। मैं तो बुद्धि के जंगल में विलास करनेवाले जेंटलमैन लोगों की जमात से बाहर खड़ा भारतीय आसमान को टुकुर-टुकुर देखता और अचंभित 'बुद्धू' हूँ जो अज्ञानतावश अपने को बुद्ध से जोड़ बैठता है।

क्योंकि बुद्धि का लगभग ठेका ही सेकुलर जमात को आधिकारिक तौर पर मिल गया, अब इस जन्म में मेरा खाक भला होगा। कहते भी हैं न कि --
आखिरी वक्त क्या खाक मुसलमां होंगे...

लेकिन अपने देश और यहाँ के नागरिकों पर मेरा मुसल्लम ईमान है और संविधान की आत्मा के ऊपर कुछ भी नहीं मानता । यही हमारी सामूहिक और सार्वजनिन धार्मिक उपलब्धि है और ग्रंथ भी । पर पढ़ुआ लोग तो इसे मानने से रहे।शायद उन्हीं की शान में एक घोर 'साम्प्रदायिक' कवि तुलसीदास कह गए हैं:

बचन बज्र जेहि सदा पियारा , सहस नयन परदोष निहारा I
